Volleyball C Division: West Zone 2nd Position
9 February 2006

C Division Volleyball West Zone Final
Our girls were clearly the underdogs but they were fairly composed through the majority of the match and gave the opponents (Shuqun Sec) a really good fight. All this in spite of almost all the regular players being Sec 1s. The 1-2 score and performance were slightly better than our previous meeting with Shuqun in the preliminary round.

The first set went our way 26-24 with our girls showing the same fighting spirit as before and despite being behind for most of the set.

The second set saw our opponents storm through the set, with our girls pressured into making many errors, thus losing 10-25.

The final set was nearly a classic comeback, minus the win. We had a bad start and made many unforced errors. At one point, we were 5-17 down. But the girls fought for every point and miraculously managed to tie the game at 24-24. Only the opponents' greater experience and higher level of skill enabled them to grab the last 2 crucial points, with our girls bowing out at 24-26.
